By now most people in the United States have been following the horrific story of the murder of Tara Grant by her husband Stephen Grant. As a Michigan resident it’s a very eerie feeling knowing that something so sick and brutal took place within 40 miles from where I live. Of course what I’m seeing on my TV is far different than the rest of the county. It’s happening HERE… and coverage is nonstop.
The details that are coming out today of the actual murder, strangulation by his hands, which takes 5 minutes for the victim to die. This done while their young children were in the house! He then takes her to his family Tool and Die shop where he dismembered her. The story is so sick it’s beyond comprehension. All the gory details are in every newspaper and TV station across the nation, no need for me repeat it again. This story resonates of OJ Simpson and Scott Peterson doesn’t it? Here we go again. I don’t understand what makes a man do such a heinous act? I doubt if the professionals have an answer for this one. Sociopath maybe?
I keep thinking about those 2 young children and what does their future hold? A Mother viciously murdered by their Father who will most likely spend his life in prison. How can they be expected to grow up normally? As shocking as this story is I think most people still think about the children and what will become of them? There are trust funds being set up at our local banks. Tomorrow there will be a hearing to appoint a Guardian Ad Litem. Their lives will be in turmoil for years to come. This is such a sad, sad story. My thoughts and prayers go out to them, to Tara and her family.
The horrific story’s come over to the news on other side of the Atlantic too… and yes, at this point, it’s caring for the children that’s most important.

Mind boggling too. I have severe trouble comprehending in any way whatsoever how this happens in our society.
