Well I am back in Michigan and the surprise party for my Dad was a great success! Talk about pulling off a surprise we sure did. He told me later as he was walking towards the table where we were seated he almost said to the lady standing, “you look just like my daughter.” When he realized it was really was me the look on his face was priceless. Makes me smile just thinking about it.
Back to the land of cold and snow! Yes almost mid April and it’s still snowing! Heard on the weather report yesterday that this April is the coldest one on record for 113 years! I sure believe it because I have never remembered having this many snow days in April. I am so ready for vacation, cannot wait to feel the warmth and sun on my body.
Back to the dentist today, the temporary crown comes off and the permanent one goes on. Not looking forward to the actual procedure but I will be so glad to get this temporary off. Hope they don’t have to use as much Novocain as they did for the initial crown work. That took hours and hours to wear off. Since my appointment is not until 4:00 I hope I can eventually eat tonight. It’s hard to chew when your mouth is all numb.

Hi, sorry to hear about the dentist, hope you are much better tonight and enjoy a favorite meal. Thats wonderful you had the party for your dad, he will remember that for a long time as well I am sure. No more snow here in Pa. but at the moment it is raining. So i wanted to stop in and say hi to you before we take off to our sons house for a visit with the grandkids. I work 12 hours a day for the next 2 days so I am sure by Friday night i wont feel like socializing to much. At this time we are short 2 nurses again.

113 yrs huh? Holy cow! I think I believe it. We’ve never had trees up and die on us because of the cold but the temps had been so warm (80′s) over a 2 week period then the cold blast hit us and now what used to be beautiful green leaves just appearing, are dead, dried up crunchy leaves. UGH! Even my Weeping Willow is tainted brown. I do NOT like April. lol
