Winter be gone!

Can you believe another winter storm for parts of the country! This is getting ridiculous. Snow flurries on and off all day, temps at around 30 with wind-chill 18°! We’ve been under a high wind advisory since last night and the wind is still raging sucking every once of heat from the house.  And I thought I was done with my layers of clothes. Apparently NOT. Vacation countdown is on

Hi Elaine thanks for dropping by and your nice comments. Yes the weather is ridiculous, but I am not surprised, we are supposed to have snow for the weekend. I remember it’s not the first time we have snow in April, on year we had one foot, and it was so hard to shovel, cause it’s so heavy at this time of year. But what can we do, but complain. I should have stayed away longer. I knew this was going to happen. Take care and God bless you dear friend. Start compting the days left before you go. Lol

Snow and wind here too with an expected accumu—ahh, what the heck, it’s Spring and this will shortly be a memory soon enough and all that. I do like your little palm trees though. :D

Elaine I know you won’t believe this, especially with all the green you’ve seen in my blogs lately..but we have a freeze warning in effect at night for the next few nights! The cold front that came through last night and brought the tornado warnings back..also brought us unreal temps. We had a high of 82 yesterday and this morning it was 37.

Winter be gone for sure! Stay warm and think tropical thoughts!

    Elaine,

You never know up there. Remember the May – United Way golf outing I played in where it snow flurried on the 3rd hole? That was in mid-May.

Also, moving day in Cortland on March 22nd, 27 inches of snow.

As Yogi Berra would say “It ain’t over until it’s over”.

Oh, I KNOW, Elaine……. It is SO COLD and SO WINDY here, too…. We are having RECORD LOWS. I don’t think this winter is EVER GOING TO END….. I mean, I know it is technically spring, but it is FEELING like winter. I’m not liking it at all. :-\

    Hi Elaine,
So sorry to hear about the unpredicability of weather out your way. I never thought spring could be so wildly multi-dimensional in its temperment. Here in Arizona, we only have two seasons of course, mild and hot. Dressing in layers here comes down to a question of “Should I wear a t-shirt today with my polo, or not?” Do not fret, spring will arrive in earnest soon.
