Ahh-Choo

Like many across the country I am miserable with my allergies. Nothing worse than waking up with a pounding headache and it’s not from a hangover either! Stumble to the bathroom, eyes squinting because it hurts to open them….look on the counter for the Allegra-D bottle…take pill and hope it kicks in soon. Sound familiar?

For us that live in a snow state we can’t wait for spring! No more snow, ice and frigid temperatures. Somehow we block out the fact that along with the beautiful spring weather, allergies will follow. The medications that are available today are so much better than the old days of benadryl only (which makes you too groggy to function). I am thankful for the pharmaceutical companies that have developed these much improved medications. Without them many of us would be a lot more miserable than what we currently are. 8)

My allergies haven’t bothered me much until the last few days. I think it’s because it’s been so dry out. But we’ve had rain today and yesterday so maybe the pollen will subside for awhile. I have to really be hurting to take meds for anything but a box of Alavert is looking pretty good right now. lol

    Hi Elaine !!!
Glad to see you were able to make it to my space.
I know what you are going through with your allergies, I have the same problem, but allegra-D don’t work for me i need Claritin-D.
Hope your week was a good one and you will enjoy a safe and great week-end my dear friend !

If luck is a raindrop I’d send you a shower,
if hope is a minute I’d send you an hour,
if happiness is a leaf I’d give you a tree,
and if you need a friend know you’ll always have me.

We are kindred spirits, and sufferers, Elaine, LOL! You are right about being thankful for the newer meds, too. I am so thankful for the variety available. Hope your weekend will be a good one! Hugs!

Allergies suck. Sorry, it just had to be said. I put an air conditioner in last year after arguing for years that we didn’t need it. Guess what? Let allergy attacks. Imagine that. :o )

Wow, three of those five worst cities are in New England. That’s where I’m from! I don’t suffer from any allergies. Sorry you do! I wonder what makes New England so bad. All I can think of is the myriad of flowering trees we have. This past week much of them were in full bloom.

Thanks for the comments, you’ll have me thinking it does actually look good soon, lol.
I did have a wander over to Kirks, like you say, we could learn a lot ~ not sure if my poor old brain can get much more in at the moment though, it’s absorbed a hell of a lot these last few days!
Hope the loneliness isn’t getting to you too much ((hugs))..
