Custom Image

Some of you may have noticed I changed the theme on my blog. What I like about the one I’m currently using is the option to add your own custom image. I’ve been using paintshop pro for several years and love making tags, stationery, etc that can used in email. So making a custom banner is right up my alley.

I’m pretty pleased with how the white tulip banner turned out. Looks pretty simple huh? You’d be surprised how long I spent making it. First formulating an idea, then finding images to work with, finding a quote to accent the image. Then finally putting it all together.

Now if I could only learn CSS….. that’s my next goal with this new wordpress blog.

It certainly is beautiful. You should have been a graphics artist.

Who knows, maybe you can. Finding a job that you like can be done, it just takes more time. Of course, sometimes you have to be very flexible and have an open mind to make the job work.

    Thanks for sharing Elaine.

    Hi Elaine,

Your place here looks fantastic. I’m one who didn’t realize it was more than just posting a jpg. My compliments to you for all it entails to put it together :-)

Elaine you tulip banner is just beautiful, as is all the tags, headers, stationery, etc. that I have seen you make over the years, I have no doubt that you will conquer the CSS what ever that is. I know over the years you have taught me so much about how to work my computer, however I do not think I could ever even begin to do these web pages etc. like you make…..Thanks for sharing…….Mary-Anne

    Hi Elaine,
The new design looks great (thought I didn’t actually see the old one). Anyway, if you’d like to learn CSS, there are many great sites out there for that. One of my favorites to look at is CSS Zen Garden. It’s amazing how a simple site can be made to look so different, depending on what styles are controlling it.
