Let’s get this week over!

Just like I said on Monday it will go from AC to heat all in the same week. Well that sure was right on the mark! Switched over yesterday. Poor little Poco does not know what to do! Open the door for him to go out and he tries to dart back  inside the house.  Only if I stand with him in the cold rain and blowing wind will he attempt to get it over with (doesn’t matter if I’m in my jammies and freezing my butt off too).  He does not like wind! And seeing how we live in an area with the highest elevation in the county, and in a wide open area he is in for a big shock when the wind turns to snow and those north winds blow down from Canada.  Our other dogs hated the winter winds here, I’m sure Poco will be no different.

I really hate to bitch and moan at my blog but it hasn’t been the greatest of weeks.  And I am not one to spill my guts here. But it wears on me, the DC/Michigan connection and being put in this position. Most of the time I remain positive and upbeat but when the wind starts hammering it’s not just the house it’s me too and I want it to end. I want silence and resolution.

Early day tomorrow….poor little Poco has to be at the vets 7:00 AM for neutering.  I feel bad about that too, he had such a hard time with his puppy shots and now putting him through this.  Wish us luck! No unforeseen reactions to anesthesia! Hopefully tomorrow will be a TGIF, this damn week is over and we all survived (minus 2 cute little appendages Poco might be missing). :(

    Ugh, sending sympathy vibes.

Yes, it has really cooled down, hasn’t it? I imagine it is WAY cooler there where you are. I’m sorry you’re feeling down. I’m here for you if you need to talk… I can only imagine what you’re feeling…. (((Hugs))) Hope Poco’s surgery goes well…. It seems like you two have really been through it. You’re in my thoughts and prayers,

    Julie

    Elaine,

Praying for you and little Poco, too.

(That reminded me of “I’ll get you…my pretty… and your little dog too” or something like that…from ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Must be the time of year…or just that I am looney…lol.

YOU are a very upbeat kind of person…and I can’t think of anyone that doesn’t need to vent or have times where things can be overwhelming. You are a trouper and “this too shall pass”!
My hand is up, as well, if you just want to chat.

Please blog after the visit to let us know how well it went.

    Love and hugs,
    Beth

I’m actually looking forward to the cold, damp weather…but only for a week then I’ll be ready to get outside again. I’ve been like a squirrel and gathered my winter wood so I’m all set. Winnie has the same reaction as Poco when I open the door, she says…do I really have to go out there??? Lexie on the other hand loves it, especially snow.
The leaves here are starting to show their colors and should be at their peak this week or next.

    Let’s go Mountaineers!

We’re at 7400 ft. in Santa Fe and the altitude is hard for anyone to adjust to. I’m looking forward to winter here; in NYC it could get pretty sloppy.

Has Poco started mumbling in Spanish about the weather yet? Perhaps it’s time to get him those neat little sweaters for his rather poco self.

There’s no problem in venting. Lord knows I do enough of it over at my blog. And I bet Poco gets through the neutering easier than he did his shots. Thinking good thoughts.
So is it TGIF for you? I sincerely hope so.

Don’t complain about hot weather in October!!! :0 I am looking at under 40 degrees tonight, and I am not liking it one bit!

Neutering pets: Most recently, my cat Rudy got it about 2 years ago. I remembered how groggy he was after the snip. But for $50 at Neuter Scooter, i can’t complain. The only thing though was how fat he got within six months. He weighs 18 lbs.! (And I don’t try to overfeed him, just well, it’s a long, long story. )
