The poll results for “Do you plan on getting a flu shot?”
- yes 59%
- no 35%
- undec. 6%
October is here which means it’s time for your flu shot. The flu season is usually from November to April with peak cases occurring in late December and early March. The vaccine is not effective until about two weeks after receiving it so the sooner you get it the better.
Word of caution, the virus used is grown in hen’s eggs so anyone allergic to eggs should not be vaccinated.
You can make an appointment with your primary care physician or use one of the many local pharmacies and stores that offer them in your area.
A new poll is up, don’t forget to answer on your way out please

Nope..never ever thanks
Yes both myself and my husband get the flu shot every year and since we started. touch wood we have not had the flu….One bad bout with the flu years ago was enough to make me get my shot.
Tony – stay healthy
Mary Anne – I hear ya! Flu can be so nasty, especially to anyone who has any pre-existing medical conditions.
Hi Elaine,
Hmmm…Flu shot???
It seems whenever I get them I end up have more illness for that year. I have not received a flu shot for three years and have been healthy. However, I do have less human contact now too. Not to mention the covering of prayer.
Have a nice week, Greg
Thanks for stopping by…
I’ve been getting flu shots for the last few years, and for those years I seem not only to not get the flu, but also far fewer colds. I’m now first on line when the stuff comes in to my doctor’s each year!
Yes it is a requirement at my workplace for the staff to get flu shots, Im a nurse and I have not had the flu for many years since i get the shot.
As for the perfume in the workplace, yes we have one girl who people stay clear of because her scent of perfume is so strong at times. i dont mind it if its kept to a mild scent.
