Wow, 5 weeks!?! That isn't very long at all. How's she doing? Glad to hear you had a good trip. Thanks for the snow scene... I love snow, actually... Its ICE that I hate (Especially after last winter going without power for 13 days because of it)... Sorry its taken me so long to get to these. Things have been hectic here with sick kids and school. Zoe has fifths disease, Kristin has been throwing up, and Jewell has a really bad cough. Tis the season, I guess... Hope all is well your way. :)

There's something to say about the beauty of a snow covered scene like the one in your backyard and the peace it can bring. Probably one of the few things that I miss about living at the old family homestead was scenes like the one in your photo right in my own backyard.

Glad you had a great time and are back home safe and sound once again. I'm sure I won't be the only one checking ion often to here how Sarah is doing. :D

Laoch - ready or not the white stuff is making it's appearance. Did you get snow yesterday? We got about 3 inches here.
Mike - glad you like the photo. I must admit I do have a lovely view from my kitchen window. It's nice that you're able to get out and take a quick walk at lunch, most college campuses are so pretty.
Mary-Anne - yep driving can be the pits! And YES I can't wait to start spoiling the little one :-)
Janet - so true. It would be hard for me to live in a climate where I never see snow.
Beth - we had snow last night too, we must be getting the same system. It definitely stuck here and frigid here today with high winds. BRRRRRR

Elaine,

Was so blessed reading about your happy Thanksgiving with your daughter in N.C. Only 5 more weeks...wow! Grinned from ear to ear thinking about little Poco and his enjoyment of the weather there. Glad you made it home safely and I want to thank you for sharing that lovely view from your window. It certainly does denote peace and tranquility. Our back yard is small and has houses all around so I have to go to the park to get a view like that. It snowed here last night and looks like it will stick this time. Will be praying for our hubby as he has to commute again. Hope that the rest of your week is a good one as you get back into routine there.

Love and hugs,
Beth

Good to read that you had a nice time, in spite of the long drive. And I'm very glad that Sarah is doing well.
Lovely view and I'll bet that many of us can relate to the feelings brought on by the snowy, moon- lit scenery. Something about the stillness of those moments that touches our soul.....

It sure is a winter wonderland, as long as you don't have to go out and drive in it.

WOW you only got 5 weeks to wait to be grandma, then the spoiling starts.........

Hi Elaine,
Welcome back, and I am glad you had a nice Thanksgiving although your daughter had to work. With a new member of the family on the way, it makes it all worthwhile. The photo you took is beautiful, and I love such open spaces, especially covered in snow. This view would definitely have me feeling relaxed and peaceful as well. I must say, I work in a college, and our campus, though small compared to some of the larger universities, is quite nice this time of year. The leaves are changing and the air is crisp. On my lunch break I usually take a nice walk outside to stretch my legs and get some air. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your photo. Have a great day. -Mike.
