No time to blog

Wow has it really been 8 days since I’ve posted anything here? Tis the season and I’m sure like many others, blogging moves down on the list of importance. I won’t complain about the snow and ice and frigid temperatures because it pales in comparison to those hit by the ice storm in Oklahoma. 610,000 still without power and the Gas and Electric company is saying it could take 10 days or more before it’s all restored. I’ve lived in the north my entire life so winter storms and power outages are not new to me, however not for 10 days! My heart goes out to all those affected by this devastating storm.

Have you noticed since you started blogging (or made online friends) that you pay attention to the National weather report more than you did before? I know I do. From the New England states to Seattle and all across this great country I have met so many wonderful people. When I turn on the news and hear about forest fires, Santa Ana winds, hurricanes, mudslides, tornadoes, blizzards and ice storms I naturally think of the people I know in the location currently under the wrath of Mother Nature.

Christmas – my shopping is not done and I’m not ready and I’m getting stressed like everyone else. I changed out the quote at the top of the page which is perfect for me right now!

For those who have asked about Sarah – she is doing well, uncomfortable and ready for this to be over. What woman doesn’t say that when she’s down to her last 2-3 weeks of pregnancy? As for me…. I am ready for this little girl to make her appearance in the world, come on let’s not be shy, there are many loving people that can’t wait to meet you.

    Hi Elaine,
If I were you I’d be way too excited about the arrival of the new little one than to blog. Your friends here will be waiting for you when you are able to write again, and we want to hear the news of your new, healthy granddaughter. Best wishes. -Mike.

  3. It’s the same over here Elaine, too much to do, too little time. That’s December I suppose…nice qoute and Al Gore looks markedly younger in that photo. Was it only 4 year ago?
Hope the next few weeks go swell for you..take good care and enjoy…

Elaine it is that time of year when we have so much to do and no time to do it. as you know we go to the farm every year for Christmas as those cows have to be milked twice a day no matter what..lol…..however I still have to make stuff to take to nibble on and such and all that can’t be made to far in advance……so yes we are all pretty busy this time of year……….

Mike – wising the same to you and yours, a wonderful Christmas surrounded by family and loved one.

Ottavio – same to you! Yes he does look much younger in that photo (and slimmer). Appears the ‘good life’ has gotten to him.

Mary Anne – take care my Canadian friend, be well and be safe in your holiday travels.
