I want to go to Playa del Carmen, was there years ago. Lost a camera there, boo hoo. Hubby actually lost it along with 3 rolls of film, he always promised he’d take me back there, hasn’t happened yet.

oh Elaine, I feel for ya… Its 19 degrees here, and I’m FROZEN… I can’t imagine in the 0 degrees feeling like -24…. I guess that is sort of like my mom and sister who live in Florida… She tells me they are freezing when its 50 degrees… I ususally tell her something along the lines of “OH SHUT UP! That is not cold…”… Anyways, so yeah… Its cold here, but that is just TOO cold!! Yaay for only 20 more days till vaca!

Poco wouldn’t like the prairie winds here, as our wind gusts for the passed year have ranged from a low of 11mph to a high of 61mph, with an average of 26 mph. It feels great during the summer heat but it can blast for days when they do gust. He might like the warmer Chinooks when they are low grade strength.

Please stay warm! I made the mistake of not wearing a hat yesterday, forgetting how quickly the weather and wind can change here, and regret it. The coldest we have been this winter is -33F. The worst windchill factor was -51F.

Julie – thanks! Glad you like it. My son lives in Florida too so I know what you mean about your mom and sisters complaining about ‘their’ cold weather.
Beth – I don’t know how you do it! -51° would do me in I’m afraid. But then again people in the south say that about my weather in MI. Guess we all learn to adapt to our environment.

The cold across the nation is all in the news. I don’t remember it being that news worthy when I was growing up. But I feel for those forced to suffer through the record cold weather including the pets.
