I am back in Michigan after spending the week in North Carolina. My flights were uneventful and on time which is always an added bonus. Plus I wasn’t seated anywhere near the bathroom, double bonus for that one 
On the way back there was an elderly gentleman in front of me going through security. Poor guy didn’t know he had to remove his belt, his shoes, his jacket etc. Of course he gets to the front of the line and is told this by the TSA agent. So now the line is held up while he removes the articles of clothing. Par for the course there is someone further back in the line that must bitch loud enough for everyone to hear. Give the guy a break, he’s gotta be at least 80 years old, traveling alone, can you possibly show one iota of compassion and patience?
Did you watch the Super Bowl yesterday? Isn’t it great to see the underdog win! What an exciting last few minutes. And what a jerk Patriots coach Bill Belichick was for walking off the field with 2 seconds left on the clock! Talk about unsportsmanlike behavior, what a poor loser and classless act for a coach to display. Congratulations NY Giants!

I agree completely with your comments about the Super Bowl. I’m neither a Giants or Patriots fan but I was rooting for the Giants. Had the score been reversed I’m sure Tom Coughlin would have stayed until the game was over.

Glad you are back safe and well! You know what? It wasn’t that I didn’t already realize about germs, and was practicing prevention, but after reading your article, I am now almost as bad as “Monk”!
It does seem that courtesy and patience have almost gone by the wayside.
We rooted for the Giants too… and felt the same way you did about the Patriots and their coach. That last 15 minutes was amazing!

Beth – I so agree! I was getting quite bored with the game until the last 15 minutes! So glad it turned out the way it did.
Elaine – A joy to see you, as always, dear friend! Hoping your vacation will be a refreshing and relaxing one. Did you get that new medicine advertized for travelling to Mexico and other countries? You are always so prepared and careful about health that I was wondering if you thought it was worth taking.
Beth - I’ve been to Mexico several times before and have never gotten sick. The hotel rooms are stocked with bottled water, I don’t drink from the tap. But good point! I need to make an appointment soon at my doctor for allergy refills ( will only refill 6 months without seeing me) so I may as well ask him about it. Will let you know.
