Off for the weekend

I feel like I am always saying, “On the road Again”, (Willie Nelson).  75 Leaving in the morning for Ohio to visit my 81 year old Father/family/and best friend from childhood Mary Jane.  How many of us can say they are still best buds with their childhood friend? Through all the moves, different states, ups and downs that both our lives have seen we still remain friends. I could write a short story about our escapades from childhood to the rebellious teenage years to young single adult years. On second thought … maybe NOT. ;)

Have fun, Elaine. That is wonderful that you are still friends. :)

  2. Laoch says:

    You are lucky.

  3. Wow…I thought I couldn’t stand Anais Nin, but that quote in your sidebar makes me think I should give her another chance.

Sorry that comment had nothing to do with the original post, which mentions Willie Nelson, who I’ve always known that I love.

  4. Elaine says:

Julie – she is the sister I never had :)
Laoch – I am!!! and very thankful for the good in my life.
Yoga – hey thanks for stopping in — I don’t mind at all any off topic comment. I like that quote especially as Americans are in the midst of one of the most historical elections we have seen in my lifetime.

  5. Julie says:

Those are the best kind, aren’t they, Elaine! :)
