Campaign Quote of the Day

Rick_Davis Sen. John McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis said he sees no reason why McCain or his staff should comment regularly on the declining stock market, saying that he doesn’t know what they would say.

“It doesn’t mean we don’t care and aren’t trying to do something about it, it’s just I’m not exactly sure what you’d say everyday,” said Rick Davis.

Each day I find myself saying: “UGH”

How ’bout, “I’m sorry we’ve failed the American people.” Say it everyday until you believe it. :o (

  3. Elaine says:

Laoch – this past week each day has been worse than the previous and I find myself so disgusted and angry at what’s happened to our economy.
Grandalfe – yeah right, would be nice but highly doubtful :-(

  4. Rhea says:

I heard this on the news the other night. What a terrible thing for a campaign manager to say. They sound really dumb. I mean, I don’t expect anything substantive, but at least put out some reasonable-sounding rhetoric. Oh, who cares. I’m voting for Obama.

  5. Keli says:

I wish, just once, these people would surprise me by saying something of actual substance and meaning! Is that asking too much? Apparently.

  6. Karen says:

…kinda like McCain saying that he knows how to get/find Bin Laden, and when he’s president… so if he knows now why hasn’t he… same with the economic meltdown…duhhhh…..

  7. Elaine says:

Rhea – just shows how out of touch they are. I wish the election was tomorrow and we could be done with it. Obama can’t get inside the White House soon enough to suit me.
Keli – Tucker Bounds is even worse…I turn the station when he starts arguing with someone.
Karen – yep I hear ya!

  8. James Andrew says:

How I wish the elections will be over!

  9. Elaine says:

@James Andrew: Me too and millions others. I wish tomorrow was election day, not 3 weeks out. The anger and fury that has erupted this last week will not be dispelled once the election is over (my humble opinion).

  10. Kirk M says:

Yup, uh-huh…of course you don’t know what to say. Bet you don’t know what to do either. I’ll even bet that you didn’t what to do over the last 4 years or 8 years for that matter. Wasn’t it a pirate that once said “That’s the kind of attitude that got us into this mess in the first place, mate.”

  11. Well I do not think that he is doing that great a job! Lol, well at last everything is coming to an end. Let us hope for the best.

  12. stock market says:

We’ll see what the stock market does when the winner is announced!
