Last night was the HBO Real Time season finale with Bill Maher. He ends with his new rules. If you are easily offended than you probably don’t want to watch.

Obesity Tsunami
More than half a billion people, or one in 10 adults worldwide, are obese -- more than double the number in 1980. Obesity-related diseases account for nearly 10 percent of U.S. medical spending or an estimated $147 billion a year.
Except for smoking, obesity is now the number one preventable cause of death in this country. Three hundred thousand people die of obesity every year.

I like the scrambling for money idea – “At least we’d get some!”
I just love to watch Bill Maher, however we up here in Canada do not get his show, I only get to see him if he happens to be on Larry King or a guest on some other show that we do get……Oh by the was we do not get HBO up here, or fox news which we use to get but for some reason (money) they choose to just run reruns of old shows on the fox channel…….they have changed our channels so much that it is hardly worth having a TV now days, because they figure every language should have their say and they do in their own tongue……..never mind just french and english, I am so in favour of thejoke someone sent me if you can’t speak english wait at the boarder till you learn how. I hope you Americans keep the English language as your main language.

Keli - I agree!! Or how about the government gives out the $700 billion to the American people? To every citizen 18 and older. Bet that would take care of the economy in no time at all!

Always liked Bill Maher because he was never afraid to tell it like it is and he could do it without ending up sounding like that moronic Howard Stern. This probably due to his ability to laugh at himself and the absurdity of it all while he’s at it.
