Hi Elaine,

I work in IT (Information Technologies) and was offered a BB Bold and Storm to test.
The storm, just felt "wrong". I can't put a finger on it, but I'm not the only one that felt that way.
It felt wrong in my hand, it felt wrong to touch the screen (the depress part is kinda freaky), and two of the biggest problems were, I looked at 3 of them, and all three of them had screens that needed to be calibrated. Where you touched, was not what got pushed.
So, with the keyboard up, if I press the G on one, I was likely to get the I key unless I actually pressed nearer the B key. (look at your KB)
Every one was different, and every one was "off".

Secondly, I'm not sure if this can be adjusted, but when you type a letter, the letter appears, and is there for a full second before disappearing. WHILE it's there, you can't type the next character which slowed me down immensely.
I have an iPod Touch and I can type faster, and more comfortably on it than the bold.

Currently, I have a BB 9300, and wouldn't take a Storm if it were free.

That's just me though.

Check it out VERY carefully if you get one!

Nooner - thanks for your input. Seems like getting a new phone nowadays is almost like getting a new computer. Guess in a small way it is.
Keli - the iPhone is so popular but changing providers is such a hassle or I would consider it. Thanks for replying.

Not having the Storm myself, I can't say, but those I know who do use it seem to have no complaints. But I agree with Nooner. It probably takes a lot of time to learn about all that the Storm does. My husband has had an iPhone for over a year and just last night, he discovered a new feature! So be prepared for constant surprises (good ones, I'm sure!).

2d best thing I did for myself in 2008 was to get the BlackBerry Storm. I switched from the Palm 750p. No comparison. The Storm is new age. There is so much to the Storm that it takes a long time to discover all of its potential.
