Alpha Resort-Tomamu’s ice village in Japan

Now that’s cold! Guess I won’t complain about single digit weather with negative wind-chill. Who in their right mind would pay almost $700 bucks a night to stay in an ice hotel? Maybe I should rent my house out…it’s pretty darn cold here right now. Click on bottom link for more pictures, there are many.

The hotel where dining room, bed room and bath room are made out of ice, charges 80,000 yen (US $696) for two per night and provides dinner served on an ice plate. It opens until Feb 15, 2009.
