Washington (dbTechno) – Walgreens has announced that they are going to offer free health care services to those who have lost their jobs and are laid-off.
Walgreens has announced as part of their Take Care Health Systems that they are going to offer these free health care services to help those in need.
The offer is known as the Take Care Recovery Plan, and will be provided at all Take Care Clinics.
They are also working with Quest Diagnostics Inc. to offer free lab testing for patients.
These Take Care Clinics are located in various Walgreens locations.
The plan in place will give free health care to those who need it to help them deal with colds, sore throats, allergies, etc.
It will also help by offering treatment for minor skin infections, minor burns, and other skin problems.
The free health care services will be available on a Monday through Friday basis from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Thank goodness for this news for those uninsured! People (and companies) are starting to step up to the plate in terms of helping one another. Such a wonderful thing to see happening!
Brenda
It is good Brenda, I hope we see more companies follow suit!
Imagine that… a company doing something right!
Why isn’t this FRONT PAGE NEWS everywhere???? *sigh*
1 out of 5 Americans are uninsured right now, it’s wonderful to see Walgreens doing this. I really hope more companies start doing the same.
It is costing us an additional $500 per month to insure my husband and son through my plan since he is laid off. So far we’ve been able to manage this but don’t know if we’ll be able to indefinitely so this is great information. Thanks.
That is one of the nices things I have heard come out of this depression, the whole world is in…..If I lived in the states I would be giving them my business for sure.
I really like this… and seriously will start buying what I normally buy elsewhere, from Walgreens. I wish more companies would step up like they are, and I hope that elligible people don’t abuse their generosity.
Wow.
I might start taking my business to Walgreens.
Seriously.
We’ve had a heck of a time ever since my husband got laid off.
I agree with Liz that it must be hoped that people do not abuse this generosity.
