This is good news! Will be interesting to see how many other insurance companies follow suit.
Health insurer UnitedHealth Group Inc. said Thursday it will cover swine flu vaccines for all of its members.
Administration of the vaccine will be covered for members whose plan benefits include vaccine administrations, and for those who don’t have plans that cover vaccines as well as those who do not intend to add vaccine coverage.
The Associated Press: UnitedHealth to fully cover swine flu vaccine

I believe your govt should cover all vaccines, especially those that spread easily, and are a health risk to all………Thank God our govt. has universal health care and we Canadians are all covered for everthing………..
Very interesting, Mary-Anne. Here in the states, we tend to gloat that our health system is better than yours. But in fact, we could learn a lot from what other countries are doing better and right!
I’m glad about the United Health Care coverage, especially because that’s what we have!
But we would have gotten the vaccine anyway, if it were available to us.

Ferd I wold love to tell you about our health care system, that is free to all Canadian Citizens, I find it so very hard to understand why a country that is the most powerful in the world, could leave more people without health care, then live of all of Canada. and not one person here has to go bankrupt because they got a real serious medical problem….When you hear of people from Canada going to the states for medical treatment..it is because we here are unable to do it for what ever reason at home for what ever reason like we do not have enough Doctors to do the procedure, or the hospital is full, what ever……but you do not hear from your your insurance companies that our Govt picks up the tab…unless it is for breast implants for a face lift then the person pays for it.but for all necessary health problems our govt. pays.
