How runners can lose fat
"The more you exercise and the less you eat, the more likely your body is to hibernate. That is, you’ll conserve calories and thwart your efforts to lose fat. The better bet is to exercise reasonably and to increase your food intake early in the day to fuel your training. Eat breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Then eat lightly for dinner and afterward." — "The Runner’s World Complete Book of Running

Every morning for me is Kashi cereal with strawberries and blueberries. It’s my favorite meal!
Brenda
I have Kashi most mornings, too–with blueberries and homemade yogurt. But often in the winter, I seem to need a bit more protein.
The interesting thing is that I do tend to eat more in the morning, and less in the evening, just like the article says.
I also eat my biggest meal at breakfast which is a mix of branflakes fiber 1 and kashi go lean covered in banana slices and milk, Plus another fruit on the side ( usually cantalope )this tastes so good it probably is bad for me…….
mind you I only eat 1/2 cup of each
Wow… beautiful remake on your blog Elaine!!!! *S*

Brenda, Cilicious, Mary Anne – a lot of Kashi lovers here, I eat that too if I have cereal – with blueberries on top. If not cereal it’s a yogurt with blueberries and golden flax meal.
Dave – thanks! I made that header back in 2008 and decided to put it up again. I normally change them out every month or so.
This is a big relief to me! I seem to eat more when I exercise more, so I was getting worried. Now I know it’s actually helpful! I also make a point never to eat after 7 pm, if I can help it.
