Watch out, couch potatoes! A new study says that every hour of TV you watch daily may increase your risk of early death from cardiovascular disease.
Australian researchers, reporting in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association, studied the lifestyle habits of 8,800 adults. They found that each hour spent watching television on a daily basis is associated with an 18% increased risk of death from cardiovascular disease.
They also say an hour a day spent in front of the tube is associated with:
An 11% increased risk of death from all causes.
A 9% increased risk of cancer death.

I suppose that could also be said for sitting her reading blogs!

Freudian slip. I meant here instead of “her.”

I read right past that typo and yes you’re right. We can waste time in front of the tube or the computer, either way is not good. Everything in moderation.
Whoa!
I watch TV while reading blogs. That probably makes 36% increased risk for each hour! I’m going to figure out how to watch TV, while reading blogs, while walking on the treadmill. Problem is, old guys don’t multitask well. Bummer! I’m dead!

Ferd, if ” figure out how to watch TV, while reading blogs, while walking on the treadmill” you’ll be as rich as Bill Gates. Well maybe not quite that rich but rich enough. Let me know when you’ve got it figured out.
