Laoch - yes it is.
Cilicious - we have Anthem BC/BS currently and it's a constant worry.
Mary Anne - thank you for your comment and explanation how your system works in Canada. I don't know what it will take in America to get true health care reform? Maybe when enough people don't have insurance, cant afford it and take to the streets protesting will our elected officials in Washington pass something meaningful.

I must agree with Walter Cronkite, the USA's health care is not a system but a capitalistic way to rip people off.....BTW I am Canadian and what your capitalistic health insurance companies are putting out there about universal health care in Canada is just not true, I know this from my own experience, my husbands bladder cancer operation back in 2002 cost us nothing and they also check him every 4 months at the hospital and (still do ) for free
my heart attack stay was all free and they took me in immediately, also when I had my aortic valve replaced and a pace maker put in back in 2006 that two was all free....PLUS NO WAITING AROUND FOR THE CARE I NEEDED. when I had a fall just a few months back and had to go to the hospital in the ambulance, the ambulance cost me just $45.00 however all the exrays and care I received then FREE. After resting up for a few weeks after the fall which they found I had fractured a few of my back bones My Own family Doctor of my own choosing has me on Physiothearpy twice a week till the till they deem it no longer necessary...I can not understand why you Americans are so afraid of universial health care especially when those that cannot afford the insurance and are really sick they won't even give them a free pill to put them out of their misery. EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD SEE THE VIDEO SICK0 perhaps then they would vote for Obamas plan for health care...When it comes to a persons way of life Capitalizam should not be involved.....THE ONLY WAIT TIMES HERE IS WHEN SOMEONE GOES TO THE HOSPITAL WITH A BROKEN FINGERNAIL. and even at that they are seen by a triag of nurses to asses everyone who goes to emerg. within a matter of a few minutes, however if it is a heart attack or stroke people see a doctor immediately .......YOUR INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE DOING A LOT OF LIEING TO THE PEOPLE JUST TO MAKE EVEN MORE MONEY.....I think it is time that people stood up in the USA and demand health care.....BTW. if our hospitals are not equipt to handle all the cases they get then they do send people to the USA for treatment however that also is free......people of the USA need to investigate our system for themselves before listing to the big money insurance companies.....and yes we do have paid medical insurance but that is to cover things like dentist, some drugs,as most are free but geneic brand and chiroprators. So either help those with serious health matters or at least put them out of their missery......Obama is right on this one.

Hmm.
When we lived in Denver, Anthem had been our (employer) insurance, but the husband's firm dropped it when it became too expensive (this was about 8 years ago).
I think the Walter Cronkite quote says it all, especially the fact that our health care system really *isn't* a system.
