Third Young Adults Lack Health Insurance

I hate to see what the numbers are for 2009, I’m sure it’s much worse.

Almost one-third of young adults in their 20s lacked health insurance in the United States in 2008, new statistics show.

The problem was more pronounced among men 20 to 29 years of age, 35 percent of whom went without coverage for medical care. As a result, these uninsured 20-somethings are less likely to visit a doctor on a regular basis, less likely to fill prescriptions and more likely to arrive at the emergency room.

Perhaps if the people would listen to Obamas health plan to cover all Americans with health insurance the numbers would be reduced and people would not have to suffer in the States…I could not believe my ears when on an American channel they were saying how much health insurance cost……perhaps the the republican senitors should appoint some one to help the sick people who can not afford insurance to put them out of their misery.
Americans the most looked up to land in the free world just does not have any care about their own people, and is the only Country that allows so much suffering to the poor………

I work with a young man my son’s age, 26.
His first two years with us, he had zero health insurance. He just had to try to stay healthy, which isn’t easy when you work with kids every day. He has risen in the ranks and I think he finally has *something* now.
My son in Paris the last two years, has been fully covered the entire time.
