Words to Ponder
When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless, and intelligence cannot be applied.
• Herophilus (335-280 BC) Greek Physician
America's health care system is neither healthy, caring, nor a system. •Walter Cronkite
U.S. Combat Troops Leave Iraq
The last combat troops have left Iraq. The brigade's departure came more than seven years after the March 2003 invasion to topple Saddam Hussein's regime. The most recent Pentagon figures showed 4,415 US soldiers have died in the conflict. This will leave 56,000 advisory troups in the country.

Driving today I’m behind a SUV with a vanity plate. Of course I can’t help but read it since we’re stopped at red lights and eventually turned into the same grocery store. But really lady, you paid extra for this? … Continue reading

Naked in the Sprinkler (almost)
I hesitated writing about this but the entire incident just seemed “weird” to me. Early yesterday evening I was on the deck watering the flowers and tending to the flower pots. The house next door has 4 young children, ages … Continue reading

Kind of Sick
The bad thing about planning a winter vacation is it’s smack dab in the midst of cold/flu season! I don’t have the flu (knock on wood) but something is going on with my sinuses. Throbbing headache over one eye, stuffed … Continue reading
Monday Update
I am back in Michigan after spending the week in North Carolina. My flights were uneventful and on time which is always an added bonus. Plus I wasn’t seated anywhere near the bathroom, double bonus for that one On … Continue reading
